Does this sound like you?

Can't stop overthinking everything? Always stressed but don't know why? Feeling floaty or like you’re not really here?

In between grocery shopping, mounds of forgotten laundry, and kid’s school schedules- it's surprisingly easy to lose touch with ourselves. This goes beyond merely forgetting to pause; it's a BIG sign that we’re disconnected from our bodies (aka out of sync), our emotions, our mental state, and even our spiritual selves—a state we might call 'disembodiment.

No judgement here.

It’s like we spent all those years in school, and not once did they say, “Alright folks, today we’re going to learn how to tune into what our bodies are trying to tell us.”

Nope, instead, we got a crash course in geometry and classic literature. And while that's cool and all, where does it leave us when it comes to understanding our own internal signals?

Surprising ways you might be experiencing disembodiment:

(without realizing it)

  • “Why do I feel numb all the time?”

Feeling Numb: An overwhelming sense of numbness or inability to feel joy or sadness.

Detachment: Feeling as though you're an observer of your life rather than an active participant.

Mood Swings: Unexplained changes in mood, possibly without a clear cause.

  • Why am I always tired or sick?

Chronic Tension or Pain: Persistent physical discomfort, especially in the neck, shoulders, and back, which could indicate stored stress or emotional burden.

    Did I miss a meal?

Neglecting Basic Needs: Forgetting or choosing not to eat, drink water, or sleep adequately.

Feeling Uncomfortable in Your Own Skin: An ongoing sense of discomfort with your own body, as if it's not truly part of you.

  • Why can't I feel anything when I touch something or someone?

Persistent Overthinking: The mind racing with thoughts, often leading to anxiety or stress.

Why do I zone out so much?

Disconnection from the Present: Difficulty focusing on the here and now, feeling lost in thoughts of the past or future.

Living on Auto-Pilot: feels like you’re just going through the motions

…it can also show up as procrastination, in the things we resist and don’t want to do, and allll of the ways we think we’re not good enough.

Feeling a bit of touch?

Bridging the gap from feeling disconnected to becoming deeply connected isn't something you should have to navigate alone. It's kinda like trying to navigate an unfamiliar city without a GPS. Sure, you might stumble upon some cool spots, but imagine how much more epic it would be with a local showing you the hidden gems. 🌆🚶‍♂️

Hi, I’m Nicole.

In a world that sometimes seems to spin too fast, I felt a deep calling to establish a place where the act of pausing isn't just allowed; it's encouraged. A healing space where every inhale reminds you aren’t alone and every exhale allows you to release what no longer serves you.

I created healing space in Anacortes because I believe in the transformative power of healing, the strength found in community, and the importance of creating environments that are authentic, embodied and grouded so we can develop self-awareness and heal.

At Healing Space Anacortes, we celebrate the journey of caring for ourselves because it empowers us to show up in the world with more kindness, compassion, and love (which makes us better parents, friends, and partners). We believe that realignment begins with awareness.

This is why Healing Space Anacortes exists—to be a reminder that in caring for ourselves, we find our strength through the shadows (together) so we can embody our light.

And in doing so, we learn to navigate life embodied with compassion, grace, and an open heart. 💖✨

  • My first time with Nicole as an instructor, and my first time in this studio. As an experienced yogi and fellow hot hatha teacher, I commend this studio highly. The space feels cozy, safe and private. The sound of Nicole’s cues and music flowed effortlessly and I was able to quiet my monkey mind for that transformative hour. I will absolutely be a returning student and recommend you go and see for yourself! Jai!

  • I went to the Wed night Flow and Restore Yoga class and it was so good! I loved the sequencing in the flow portion of the class and the longer restorative holds at the end were really nice. So, I came back the next night to try Yin and that class was great too! Deeply relaxing. The space feels cozy and Adrenna Nicole's teaching is spot on! I look forward to making this cute little yoga studio a part of my wellness routine.
